Nice shot Jimmy, my favorite subject. My only concern was the almost oversharpened look of the forelock, eyelashes and face. As this was a straight out of the camera challenge I assume that you used in camera sharpening?
Looking at your edited version in a recent post in the forums I also like the second edit, close crop of one eye.
Edit to add : I also love the fly on the cheek LOL

| As a horse lover, this is excellent. The kind of portrait you don't see much of with horses. The closeness lets you focus on the eyes and also lets the strong bone and vein lines really add character and strength to the shot. The colors are beautiful - nice tones and contrasts. Nice job Jimmy! I love it! |

| i think this would be much more apealing if the eyes were more in the photo, this crop is not favorable or framing, the nose should have been left in, or the ears, something to make it more apealing, left as is, is creative and beautiful, but, i think the eyes would make it pop if you had a slightly different angle if choosing this framing for this beautiful subject. |
