Using a higher F/stop would have had more of the picture in focus. Oh! using Dr. Pepper in the coke glass is a great twist :-P

looks a little dark to me. I don't like the glass reflection at the bottom, but that's about it.

Technical: 1/3 - low because the focus appears to be soft and the image appears to lack contrast
Aesthetic: 2/3
Personal Tilt: 2/3 - good myth
Wow!: 0/1

I like the composition and the head on the Coke adds appeal. A little sharpening and some contrast work with levels would brighten this right up :)

Tested by the Mythbusters, comprehensively busted! However, it is a very nice photo, I like the fact that the glass isn't quite full and the packet is open and some of the pop rocks are spilled out, especially in the reflection of the glass, making for a combination. 9

It's true! My cousin's neighbor had a friend who knew a kid who died this way!

You know Pop Rocks™ and Coca Cola® makes for one deadly combination. So they say. I heard Altoids and Coke does some pretty amazing things as well :)

A little bit blurry - possibly needed a bit more lighting. Nice idea.

That's funny, I just saw this one done on mythbusters ;)
The focus here seems a little soft and the lighting isn't really all that flattering, but I like the setup.

Did you put any pop rocks in the soda? It would have been cool to see a lot more fizzing, perhaps even an overflow.

It's also a bit dark, especially near the bottom.

This is really funny. The photo could be a little sharper, etc, but it really made me smile.

LOL... I actually saw this on "MythBusters". This definitely fits the challenge, but unfortunately the image is soft and the lighting flat. A different perspective and better lighting coupled with a wider DOF would certainly help this image IMHO

I think there is a color cast here. The lighting looks dark and murky. maybe it just needs a bit more contrast.

Focus or DOF seems a bit off...Not a combination that I want to try...lol

A little out of focus, but a great attempt, one of the more original entries.
If i see another snapshot of a black cat im gonna flip!

It actually IS a deadly combination, one of those damn rocks nearly took out my eye and gave me toothache for a week! Good idea well done!

i think focus on the pop rocks would have been better than focus on the foam from the soda, nice idea though, I almost attempted it with a defferent presentation in mind. im surprised more people didnt do this.

Another classic urban legend, I rated you high on originality, I docked points for the shot not being sharp and clear and it seems somewhat out of focus, 7/10

I've heard that. I'm not willing to try to see if its true or not. Image seems very dark and focus is a bit off.

Fun idea. Could have been pulled off in a number of ways. Here I think you need more contrastiness and up the saturation a bit. Maybe a little lower of a n angle also would work better.
