Nice flower shot

Nice, clear flower, well set off from the dark green background.
However, the central composition is boring. The "she loves me, she loves me not" concept comes across much clearer with some missing petals instead of one whole, intact flower.

Your focus is really good. Detail and dof is above average, but the flower is too centered, and the image as a whole lacks punch.

too central

Good capture but too central.

Would've like it better if some of the petals were 'ripped' off.

It's a lovely flower. But it doesn't say "she loves me" unless some petals have been plucked, or unless a young lady is in the process of pulling the petals off. IMO.

Ah, the floating flower, very nice.

great DOF, and I like the central composition.

Nice, clean image... maybe you could have picked a few pettles off to lgive the viewer an understanding your concept a little easeier

A lovely flower shot, nice DOF but, for this challenge it may have been better to have a few of the petals plucked and dropped?

This bothers me because there are no fallen petals.

Would have benefit from a better setting. 6

Shot would have been better if a petal or two were missing. Plus the flower is right in the center of the shot.

Nice shot, but not very imaginitive for the challenge. Perhaps you should have submitted it for "Flowers"?!!! I do like it though, well done.

Sorry, some other entries beat you to it and plucked some petals first to show how the superstition works. Purty but not a unique flower.

beautiful focus, lighting and DOF. this works for this challenge, bokeh and flowers. lol its a multi talented flower. would like this a bit better with one or two petals plucked

One petal missing (or falling off) would've worked much better...

I think if you'd have had a couple of petals missing, or fingers actually plucking petals it would have added a lot.

I like the photo idea and the fact that the DOF is pretty tight, but it would have had even more impact on me if you were closer to the flower, if the flower was off-center, and if taken at an angle other than top-down. Very nice though. :)

Nice image overall, but it would have had more appeal if some petals where missing.

Bet you're wishing you had this for the flower entry eh?

Nice! Would be better if shot directly above the flower

Very pretty flower. For the title, though, I might have plucked a few of those pretty petals. And maybe had the flower less centered.

beautiful shot, but if you had plucked out a couple of petals and maybe have them in the background would have made it more appealing?

removing one or two of the petals might have been better for the title
