Normally use the Tamron, but in this case, used the Sigma 55-200 at 200mm.
I could say I wake up early and get the low angle sun, but no way do I wake up early on my Sundays...
In my case, these flowers are outside, under a netting tarp of sorts and have a lot of shade. It's right up the hill from my house: Walter Anderson Nursery
Basically spot meter the brightest area, exposure lock, re-compose and click. PS was levels, Options, -0.5 on shadows & highlights (set as default), and probably dropped levels down and brought up selective black. Usually go into hue/saturation and bump the yellow hue to the right a bit to make it green, and up the saturation and drop the lightnness on it too. Here is the original unedited & edited versions:
