Wow, carnage.

Love the colours. The red chair ripped to shreds, the white couch stained and rotting, the new green looking healthy and innocent. Nature sure is dynamic, and this speaks volumes of the personal havoc, and resulting human desolation, at nature's fury. Great pic.

all you need is a volleyball net and 400 of your closest friends, and you could have the key to the city of Danbury, CT I love th ehumor here and the poignant sadness.

Yes, a bit desolate indeed. It does evoke that feeling and captures the literal meaning. The colours do not work against the desolation as they do in many of the other images entered in this challenge.
