Needed to use a shallower dof. If you have spot metering on your camera, that might have allowed you to get rid of the background to appear just as colors and dots.

She thinks your funny.

Um, ok, I like the moment that you captured, love the color and how the flowers in the background match the dress. Great expression on the girl, think you might have made the shot come alive by putting her slightly more on the rule of 2/3 line by croping out some of the left and a touch of the sky. I am missing the bokeh. Just my opinion.

The bokeh effect is very subtle. The composition is just too centered. Bringing the subject closer or concentrating more on head would have brought the background more of a Bokeh.
