not sure what is adrift. .. perhaps the desolation needs a larger field of view thant this narrow crevice ?

what an interesting place...i like how the yellow colors on the top sort of gradiate to grey towards the bottom of the photo.

This image is desolate in the broad sense of the word. My problem with it is that there is nothing that engages my interest. I look at the center and see a tennis ball type object, but nothing that would use it. The weight of the top of the image is overbearing. Your colors and focus are very good I just think you need a better subject. 5
