could be a little sharper, and the colors are a bit dull. I like the idea of racing your shadow, though.

3 things would have helped IMO. 1. Faster shutter speed 2. Focus (duh) and 3 a lower angle

The focus is going to hurt you here, a faster shutter speed would have done the trick. It seemed to be a pretty bright day, so you could have increased your ISO and set a faster shutter on TV mode instead of letting the camera choose your settings.

Otherwise - good shadow, colors and exposure. I would have cropped out the fence in the lowere portion of the picture.

The focus is a little out but the idea is good. It looks to me like this was taken over some distance....try getting a bit closer and using either a tripod or gently push the camera down into a support to prevent shake.

would be good if it was in focus, but you probably got a lot of that already.

The whole photo here looks very blurry. More focus and possibly a different angle could improve the photo.

first of all, it is not sharp... but even if it were, the photo is just not very interesting

Too out of focus. Subject is a bit uninspired. The green field distracts a bit. A shorter shutter speed would definitely improve this shot, but maybe a different point of view even more.

who won at the finish line

Good idea. For me, the runner could be a bit more in focus.

Lacks some focus, duocolor could have saved it?

I prefer photos with sharp focus on at least SOME areas of the pic.
