 authentic old time chuckwagon at grant-kohrs ranch national historical site, in deer lodge montana. this chuckwagon was the kitchen used to feed the ranch hands and dates back the early 1800s. i shot it near sunset using a 420 ex for fill flash with -1.0 EV flash compensation to balance it with the sky.

This is the shot I was sceptical of because the colors are so rich and it looks so clean and sharp, but now I understand why. It all makes sense now! Nice job Mag.

Great color. Whatever it is to the front of the wagon detracts form the shot. I know you were trying to keep the homestead as part of the shot but would a more head on shot have worked. . . lwaving out he stuff in front?

The colors here are stunning. This has a bit of a "not real" feel to it. Kind of like it was a little model or something. I can tell it's not, but it just seems kind of dreamy. Not quite sure I explained that right, but not really sure how to explain it.
Anyway, your focus and clarity are awesome for being straight out of the camera with no adjustments. Definately shows a time from the past, and the angle and framing/cropping are really nice. I like how you have put the wagon off to the right a bit. ~Heather~

Great subject with beautiful colors. The hills in the background and old barn and fence really add to the wagon and cowboy feel of this. Nice find !
