My original was in the pick two challenge I chose feathers, peacock feathers, and bifocals. Thought it original and it did OK.....5.876....so we'll see if this does any better. Hopefully it will.

The set was the same only this time I shot around the bi-focal part of the glass, for the most part, now more of the drops are in focus than in the original. Placed drops of water on a piece of glass reflecting a peacock feather image that I had. The image was displayed on my computer monitor and the glass placed in front. Placed the glasses in front of the water drops and shot. I shot at a higher angle this time to try to get as many of the drops in focus that I could.

I toyed with ISO 500 for the first time...it may well be the last. This at ISO-200 had noise as well but now where near as much as the 500.

POST: Convert from raw, 1/3 + exposure compensation. Layer adjustements for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. NeatImage. Sharpen. Healed a dark spot and shadow on one of the feathers in background in the upper right of the image as well as some, 4, small water drops between two of the front two drops. Resize. Sharpen. Save for web.

Hey there from the Critique Club

Camera Work/Technical: Your clarity and focus is much, much better than your original entry. Your contrast in this one is also better than the original.

Lighting: In the original, your lighting looked a little flat and hazy. In this one you did a nice job overcoming that.

Composition/Content: This is where I believe the voters scored you lower for this entry. This one seems a bit more crowded with the droplets too close together. The other entry seems a bit more relaxed with the droplet spacing more spread out.

My Opinion: I believe that everything except the composition is better than your original. Unfortunately, the composition was crowded just enough to pull your score down.

Clever title and picture - it took me a few seconds to realize you were using glasses. Color are vibrant. A bit of sharpening may make the eyes jump off the screen.

I would have liked to see all the small dims in focus not just the ones in the front row.
