| i love the low light levels and the light that does hit makes great shadows, and even death looks down with amazement of the photo |

Well, sure I'd like a ribbon some day... at least now I'm getting things in focus! "OH,, that's what that little dial is for!""
Kidding aside, this is a very hard subject to bring up and I'm so pleased peopele were able to vote on the image and how it made them feel and not just go by it because they didn't want to look.
With out being able to edit I spent 2 days trying to get it just right.
I lost count of the number of shots I took at around 100.

| This is an amazing photo, and the only 10 I gave for the challenge, very very well done. Really made me emotional. Wish this would have placed a little higher. Nice job. Many of my grandmothers family also were lost to this time period. VERY EVIL! Good job on making a menacing looking photo. |

| A touchy subject especially over here in Germany, you wouldn't want to get caught with one of those flags here. The composition is good, I like the idea with the shadowy parts, althought the lighter parts I would have made a tad lighter, especially to bring out the white on the flag a little more. |

| Hard to see - given the subject matter, not being able to see it well is a good thing. But I'd like to have seen the chains and the mask in a little more light. |

| Woah, that's provacative. Sure to stir up some controversy. Definitely sets itself apart from most of the other photos in the challenge. I like the whole "shadow" thing, but could use a little more subtley balanced shadow/lighting around the emblem. Looks almost like a dark circle towards the top left of it which takes away from it quite a bit. |

| Yikes! Where did you find this flag... very nicely done photo really! Great job with your lighting and having the flag coming out of the shadows. Extremely well done even if its not a very pleasant subject. |
