This is really an excellent shot. It has the dramatic look of something that would appear in a fashion magazine. Well done.

Greetings from the Critique Club

Hi Rene, firstly Congrats on getting your highest challenge score with this entry.

There's a beautifully moody feel to this shot.....composition, subject matter and lighting are superb! You really have done a great job with the lighting. The play of light and shadows gives texture to his hair, highlights the muscles on his abdomen, focuses attention on his face looking down on the cross. I also really like your editing of the layers to get a touch of colour.

The only area for improvement I can see for this shot is the background. There is a blotchy area at the top right of the shot, I also find the line behind his body distracts my eye from your subject. As the challenge was advance editing you could mask the man and use levels to get a more even b/g.

This was a well thought out challenge entry, well deserving of it's good score. Looking forward to seeing more work from you in the future.

Nice editing on the subject but the background has an odd posterized look to it. I would have made that a solid color especially since it would be easy to do in advance editing.

I really like how the light angle brings out the shadows and contours of the body and shirt.
