 Back lit maple seed pods. Modified color, contrast, and sharpness using Photoshop Elements. Clone stamped out my support pins and cleaned up a few bright spots on the edges.

Nice winged effect. Clever use of the natural to reflect the ethereal. Wow, that sounds deep. I find it interesting that you used one with a flaw (torn wing on the right). I have a lot of those seeds in my yard as well.
