Good job on 10th place! This is a nice shot indeed. Is this your house? Love the floors and Im jealous of your obvious excellent light at certain times of the day...not to mention the nice window.

Very creative approach, the corner cut off at the bottom right is the only detracting element.

beautiful shadows and play of light. I wish they were falling on something more interesting than a bare wood floor.

the shadow with the windowframe lines is interesting in how it highlights the grain of the wood

The negative space here really defines the shape of the light well AND creates a sense of depth that is very appealing.

Now see, this I like. The subject is the light through the window. But it wouldn't be visible without the darkness surrounding it. The wood in the light has nice detail. Good luck in the contest.

I love this shot, the texture of the wood is really enhanced by the use of -ve space here. Effective composition, you've got a great eye! I'm impressed by how much contrast there is here between the light and shadow. 8

yes, good negative space, and the wood provides a great texture. Good that the light off of the floor boards is not blown out so you can still see the wood grain.
