Took this shot from the Marin Headlands. Its a pretty popular place for people to visit to take shots of the Golden Gate Bridge. I love this bridge, got engaged on it, and never get tired of taking new pictures of this San Francisco landmark. Hopefully people won't score me down for the fisheye lens. There was just a wisp of fog flowing over the water on this evening. I love how the orange light played against the midnight blue in the sky and gave the orange tint to both the fog cloud and reflection in the water. I hope some people enjoy this shot.

I've enjoyed looking at this picture and all of the famous elements of the San Francisco Bay area you were able to include in it ... almost too many to mention... lights of the Alameda Shipyard & Hayward Hills - 'Old' Bay Bridge - Moon rising over Coit Tower - skyline of Downtown Frisco - Ghirardelli Square - the Marina - Sutro Tower - the Avenues - Jupiter - the Surrealistic fog enveloping the whole scene - the waves - the wonderful shadow and lighting of the bridge and cables - the Northbound traffic - the lack of an ugly wake - the lack of noise in the darkness - and a very true to life International Orange color of the bridge... The element that I have given the most consideration to was the 'aspect' of the distortion of the North Tower. The focal length of the lens you used allowed for the inclusion of all of the wonderful elements that can be seen from this particular vantage point. Many of which would have been lost had you moved back and up then used a lens with a more 'normal' focal length much of the magic of this picture would have been lost. There are so many pictures of this wonderful site that I’ve seen taken by others and myself yet this one is wonderful and begs another look … far too many others of the Golden Gate do not. I’m looking forward to seeing the details and hope to get to see a full resolution copy of this someday. 10
