Excellent high key editing on this one. Terrific placement of head int he frame; the eyes and lip colors are stunning as well; all around fantastic shooting and editing. |

Rox Your pose is a very communicative one. I always love the tilted look. What I see here is a look of expectation. Its like a "I'm waiting for something" By that I mean I'm expecting you to do something that I think is right. something that you have to decide on your own. Its a subtle you're letting me down look. You are running out of time look. the pose really talks to me. its Great I really like it. It is very likable.
I could say lots more, but I figure I should stay where I'm at for now.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. I had to choose between this one and the one I submitted. Wish I could go back in time and swap them out. Oh well...maybe it's good practice for a high key challenge. |

I really LOVE this shot...I love he way you are holding your head, really nice pose and poise...again, great eye contact
I like this shot better than the one you entered truth be told...you did really well with the other shot at around 6.1, maybe this one would have done better???
This has a really nice high key look, so next time there is a highkey challenge, have another go at this...excellent shot of you that you should be proud of |

You uploaded this in my 'transitional' period it seems and I missed it. I really like the composition of this shot. In one frame of mind I really like the attention that is focused on the color of the eyes and hair balanced with the processing of the facial skin. The black background is the only way to go. The whole combination really works. Really sets a mood and a point of view. Very expressive. Nice work!
However, on the other hand I kind of agree with Jimmy, but I feel that would really change the mood and intention of the shot.
Did you know I really hate being torn?
Did you also know that the larger half of the tear is on the first paragraph of this post?
Great shot Roxanne!

I think you've got the makings of a really great shot here too. I'd probably adjust the curves/levels a bit to make it pop a bit more and clean up the background, but nice work. |
