I'm not sure what this is, but I guess that's part of the abstract. The negative space is effective, but I think I would have like more on the left, the item being partly cropped out doesnt really help the image. I do like the duotone. It has a somewhat spooky feel.

can't tell what it is, and the space surrounding the subject does not create the wow.
