I welded a stand to hold the bike, then wired a piece of rag to each wheel. Pour some gas on the rags and trail behind the bike. Gave the front wheel with my hand, jumped on the bike and started to pedal. Set camera on tripod, got it set up and had my wife push the shutter button, and got one hot ass out of the deal.

Wow.

The scariest thing about this setup to me is that when it's raining, my butt tends to get wet... even with a fender for some reason..

Burning gasoline would suck if it sprayed up... YIKES!

You get an A for Affort though... hmr. that doesn't quite work.

Holy cow - what a set up! I was wondering how you did this. This was far and above my top pick for the challenge for the sheer audacity of it. And you did it really, really well. Hopefully you don't want to use those wheels anymore... VERY nice shot!

After picking myself up from laughing at this I love it! Even without seeing the cyclists face you can tell he is peddling like crazy, great blur btw and good luck (bumping 1)

Great imagination. Nice job on the motion blur of the legs and pedels. This could be an advertising poster. Well done!

Wow. Like to see people put some effort into their images. The flames works well and I like the motion blurr of the feets. The compositon is not great in my opion. He is directed out of the frame and I could belive that a litle different angel would have worked better. 7
