Taken in my basement of my recently procured house. I have a basement now, and a house, and all the trappings. Recently, my water line broke between the meter and house and I got to spend my Friday night digging up my recently procured lawn next to my recently procured pine tree with its offending roots - the root of my problem, actually.

The point of the above story is that I haven't had much time to take photos lately thanks to buying a house for the first time. But, who can pass up a self-portrait challenge? Especially when you come up with an idea that can both pay homage and be fun at the same time.

By the way, this isn't nearly as planned out as it looks.

Oh, and I pretty much lifted the smiley-face design from nataliedee.com.

So this was you! I'm surprised nobody I've noticed has made the connection with Graphicfunk's Rockwell emulation from last year... This deserved a higher finish IMO.

I love this. Don't know if its because of the title or the image, but both are great. 7

A wonderful idea. The dark part is too dominating imo, takes too much from the rest.

It would have been even better had you been parsimonious in your use of pens in the photo. The oral addition seems not quite right - or the reflection in the mirror is not quite right. None-the-less, why quibble, it is a nice expressive shot.
