I loved this picture during the challenge, and I still love it now! The b/w is so good also. The worn-out ball is a beautiful touch.

some people may not say this is negative space because of the lines in the bricks and the shadows, but really, its space around the kid and his tattered soccerball, and I really get the feeling he's dreaming of being the next pele or beckham. :)

You got the right concept going here in my opinion. Great b&w and the wall works well as negative space. I just don't think there's enough of it. More wall (if that was possible) and loose the big frame which dwarfs what negative space you have. Would've made the boy look smaller too and emphasize the point that (I think) you are trying to make. As a photo outside the challenge I love it. The pose and look on his face are great.

What a cute portrait. I really like it. The soccer ball really adds a point of interest. Great shot. Jacko. 9

Lovely shot, very sharp, great textures. 2 things bother me though... the shadows behind him spoil it a little for me, and the background has too much textural detail for me to really see it as negative space. However, score: 9

Beautiful picture, well done. I think I recognize the little boy from another picture - might this be Cristobal? ~10

great subject. Great photo. Maybe even better if he was composed just a bit more to the right, further from the center. just a bit.

Such marvelous tones for a B/W! Nice pose and capture, too. Move neg space would invite us to think more about the world the boy is in, too. 9
