Wow! I can't believe you're only nine! You have some amazing talent for your age, and really some amazing talent out of all the ages! I don't even want to know how good you'll be in the future...but I'm sure it will put me to shame!

The only problem I see is the soft focus on the face. May be next time have mom stand in your place to set the focus then switch places. Unless of course you wanted a soft focus.

Either way...very good job.

Wow, I didn't vote on the self portraits because I wasn't a member yet, but I would have given this an 8. and personally, I can't believe so many people gave you rude comments saying it wasn't you, (also, I have a friend who looks just like you, so this pic makes you look about 16 to me, lol) very nicely done, I love the background, and I had to re-look after reading the comment about the crown, because I thought you were holding the crown, I love the background, the lighting and the pose, especially the expression on your face. I think the only thing I would have done differently, would have been to photoshop out the line on the right hand side, and maybe not... nice work, beautiful photo

Great dramatic lighting for the drama queen, and you did a nice job of interacting with your background. 7

The lighting in this shot is very interesting to me, though I wish that the shadows were less harsh. Maybe a little reflected light or 1/4th power fill flash could soften them a little. I think the pose is great in it's interaction with the background. The background is almost (but not quite) too dark since some of the details are lost and the writing is a little hard to read. The crack in the wall going down the right side of the image is a little distracting to me. Maybe cropping or clone it out would help. Great overall composition and focus.

If this photo is really you, hence 'self' portrait, you are very good for your age!

I'm not sure if this is a selfportrait or not. You look a bit young. But I love this one. Great lighting and pose.

tighter crop would have made it stronger

Is this really you? It looks like your about 10 years old if it is. If it is not you, then I would not really call it a self portrait. If you can convince me otherwise great, I will change my vote

A reflector on the left would have helped add a little light so you dont lose detail

Wow, awesome... what perfect lighting. Focus is great, and compositionally this is superior; even the crack in the wall at right adds a lot to the composition in my opinion. Funny, but also kind of dramatic at the same time, with that excellent light. Fantastic photo.
