Unfortunately not a still life.

I would call this a landscape not a still life. And the wakes of the boats make it not even a still landscape. I also don't care for the tilted horizon.

Sorry, DNMC.

I like it, but it doesn't seem to me strongly to fit the still life theme.

but a port life is not a still life.

Horizin tilted, haizy look to image. Not what I would consider a still life.

This does not meet the challenge - inanimate but not an arranged composition of objects.

Looks very busy and active. Not what many will consider on topic IMHO.

I don't believe moving boats and river/sea/ocean water count as still life.

snapshot!

I gave this photo a 1 because it didn't seem to me to fulfill my expectation of a "still life," a classic form of artfully arranged objects. Call me narrow minded but that's the way I see it.

You may be just getting comments about this not being still life so I'll suggest things I think would improve this image general.

First, I'd rotate the image a bit so that the horizon didn't have that extreme fall off on the left. Second, an auto levels adjustment in Photoshop would really make this image pop (reducing that haze). Third, to further improve contrast and reduce the haze I'd run Unsharp Mask with the settings like this: Amount=16, Radius=33.0 and Threshold=0. That'll improve the contrast further. Lastly I'd sharpen the image more to pull all the little details in this image. If you don't have Photoshop or the equivalent I'd consider boosting up the contrast and sharpening settings in your camera if applicable.

It's an ok shot of a port scene, but this isn't really what I would consider a still life. I mean, you can feel the motion of the ships, for one thing. This is much better suited for a landscape/seascape kind of category.

Sorry, I do not feel this meets the challenge. Cool shot otherwise.

This is not a still life, sorry.
