I went to the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul up the street for about half hour today and shot away. I sat in a pew and shot hand held. I shot this leaning back and over head. I like the patterning of the ceiling very much. The lighting was not good but this came out OK especially since the shutter speed was 1/4 second. I usually eschew the square crop but it worked very well for this as there was some light glare at the top right and a part of a blown out stained glass window on the top left.

Post. Open. Crop. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue saturation. Sharpen. Resize. Sharpen. Save for Web.

Nice capture of the detail but kinda needs a bit more perspective to know what we're looking at - include a wall or part of one, maybe?

The image is very unique because it automatically has you tilting your head to one side to get a better idea.

Interesting shape, but seems a little oversharpened.
Not sure about the orientation. With your choice, it seems to go down.
I would prefer it rotated by 90 degrees to the right, as this way it would seem to go up-right, providing en elevation feel.

Very nice angle and architecture although there seems to be some grain in your photo.

It almost gives a vertigo feeling with this angle. Nice clarity and color.

I like your choice of orientation / perspective - its something quite different for this type of ceiling shot.
