This is done exactly as image 304044, "It's a surreal thing" in the afterlife. The porttait and the Peking ship are combined in ps and printed and pinned against the wall. The camera with strobes captures the image and then the camera is turned around to the live subject holding gun.

SOMEbody's due for his 4000th comment... ;-)

This was one of the few that actually looked like a movie poster! I'm actually surprised at the dearth of really low votes on this one... looks like people actually DID vote as if the shot was legal. My favorite aspect of this image is the perfect wisp of smoke- very well done, and sepia portrait is respectable in its own right. I have two criticisms though...

One is the overall complexity. There's just a lot to take in here, and the right edge in particular seems cluttered. The second "problem" IMO is the juxtaposition of color and elements. The muted tones, sepia portrait and masted ship seem to suggest an older time period- Hemingway, perhaps. Then you've got a character on the right with a modern handgun and what looks like a denim baseball cap. It just doesn't fit in with the rest of the image.

Still, you had a respectable finish here, and the movie poster theme was well-communicated. Nice job!

Wow, excellent photo! It's always impressive when a photo looks like illegal photoshop work. Great job!

Man! As soon as I saw this one, I thought it would be the ribbon winner because this one did the best job in the whole challenge of creating a real movie poster! This is just incredible! I found myself in the challenge and even now looking at it wondering how you accomplished all that! GREAT job!!!

You've got a lot going on here and it does have an authentic movie feel for me. The one drawback I see for me anyway is the crop. I don't think I've ever seen a square poster and unfortunately that takes a little away for me. Otherwise, it's a very worthy entry and one I see doing very well... nice job.

Well, I fully expected to see this DQ'ed but it says right there it has been validated. Certainly looks like 3 separate images to me. I'll be anxiously waiting to see how you did this. It looks like it could very well be a poster, well done.
