I love the bold pink in this shot, but I really wish the whole ice cream scoop and cone were sharper. I'd either crop out the hand or have the hand be a bigger part of the shot. Right now, it just seems like indecision.

I think I would have asked whoever was holding the cone to try getting a little lower to the ground and shot to use the grass for all of the background. Right now, I feel like there are things I want to see in the background and the ice cream is just in the way. It looks like you got the focus right as far as the cone goes, but the ice cream is so soft and runny, it's a little deceptive. I love the drip, but I wish I could see someone trying to eat this faster than it's melting -- maybe still losing, but at least trying.

I think I want to have a taste...<licks screen>...Hmmm...yummy.
07/21/2002 07:46:00 PM
I like the colors and focus (even if it seems a bit soft). The drop of ice cream on the left is great.

Yum! (I'll bet a lot of people commented like that too) The composition works here, but I notice the foreground isn't in focus though the back part of the icecream is in focus. One thing that might help here is to use some unsharp mask, which should be done after resizing to 640x480.

Focus, focus, focus! Ice cream is blurry, or this would have been a wonderful shot!
07/21/2002 12:52:00 AM
yum
07/20/2002 08:23:00 AM
Nice idea. I think the photo would have had more impact with the whole hand holding the cone and more icecream dripping on it. Would have made a big mess though :)

I think I would brighten the photo up a tad. Other than that it looks good.
Good enough to eat, anyway. Darn, now I'm hungry...
Good try-8

Focus isn't good.
07/19/2002 05:58:00 PM
I like the melting motion, but overall, it doesn't appeal to me. The focus is good, composition is nice (a bit close, but necessary). It's a bit dark. 7 Swash

Even tough the ligthing is a little dull, the spontaneous feel of the idea an rea llife feeling ad a lot to it, I go a lot more on to this kind of images as oppossed to very complex made up situations.

humorous picture and i can relate . it's hot here in dc too. it's a little blurry as ii'm sure you know. good color.
07/19/2002 08:05:00 AM
the icecream is a bit out of focus... otherwise a good shot
07/19/2002 01:30:00 AM
How did you get it to last even that long?
07/18/2002 11:50:00 PM
Yummy.....doesn't seem sharply focused though.
07/18/2002 11:29:00 PM
Action shot
07/18/2002 08:32:00 AM
Not too sharp, also too much of background. I like the drop, though.
07/18/2002 08:29:00 AM
luscious looking but needs more focus
07/17/2002 04:38:00 PM
beautiful detail 7
07/17/2002 10:32:00 AM

07/17/2002 12:35:00 AM
dry heat i like it
07/16/2002 10:20:00 PM
boy that looks good!! :) is that shimmering in the upper left the tree or the heat?
07/16/2002 09:03:00 PM
almost like ice cream in Florida.....
07/16/2002 09:04:00 AM
A bit out of focus, but fun how you caught the drops!
07/16/2002 07:09:00 AM
excelent
07/16/2002 05:03:00 AM
Great up close shot! Love the drips.. 7
07/16/2002 12:21:00 AM
hehehe
07/15/2002 09:16:00 PM
Interesting subject, but I think it calls for an even closer shot.
07/15/2002 06:55:00 PM
A little sharper focus on that massive mound of strawberry ice cream and i'll be licking my monitor :) = 6 - jmsetzler
07/15/2002 04:36:00 PM
I like the drip action, but this image is out of focus.
07/15/2002 03:17:00 PM
love the drips and the strain visible in the fingernail.
07/15/2002 03:09:00 PM
The stop motion didn't work. It's a blur. This is more a snapshot than a professional looking photo.
07/15/2002 01:41:00 PM
nice... a faster shutter would've been great to "freeze" the drops...
07/15/2002 01:15:00 PM
This would make a great poster. Needs to be slighty sharper though.
07/15/2002 01:03:00 PM
The ice cream could be slightly more in-focus
07/15/2002 01:01:00 PM
A imaginative, funny photo. Reminds me of the lesson I learned trying to eat a chocolate bar in Singapore. The only comment I could make is it would have been nice if you had used a slightly higher shutter speed to 'freeze' the drip (pardon the pun).
07/15/2002 11:34:00 AM
I'm glat it's your kid holding that and not mine :-P
Technicaly very nicely done, but this shot would have worked better on a bright sunny day.
07/15/2002 11:15:00 AM
needs more focus
07/15/2002 05:40:00 AM
Hot one
07/15/2002 05:05:00 AM
Hee hee! Fun shot. Good job. Kee
07/15/2002 02:54:00 AM
