Does it meet the challenge ? Yes , of course , it was a free study ! But maybe because it was a free study , viewers/voters expected something more.
Your entry was too minimalist for this challenge (in my opinion) , this moon maybe means something special or important for you but you haven't given clues in the title.
The colors are nice.
For reasons unknown for me , generally people don't like if the subject is centered , sincerily I'm not sure that this photo would have scored higher with a different composition like the moon in a corner.

For these to really work, the composition needs to be a little more interesting than just placing the moon centrally and the moon needs to be sharply in focus.
