Basic editing,Lightened midtones. Neat image. I know I am probably going to get tons of comments on the umbrella, but that is the type umbrella he was carrying.

I love this picture but no newspaper would take a random guy on the street shot and put that headline under it. They'd get sued!

Like the look on his face....but would liked to have seen a different color umbrella, maybe black.

i could see this type of image as a photo illustration to go along with a story, but not as photojournalism in terms of capturing something unposed.

wonderfully creepy. Not so much the stubble and sneer, but the lack of light in the eyes.

i think this image works for showing a freaky looking guy, but as far as photojournalism goes, it looks a bit too posed. setting up shots (unless for specific environmental portrait shots of an individual) are generally not accepted in photojournalism.

in our local elementary they actually are teaching to beware of men with overly bright umbrellas! :-) The look on his face just made me laugh -looks more goofy than mean to me -

You've had him pose as a predator so your question becomes irrelevent. And posing itself doesn't suggest photojournalism. Pictures good.

mmmm... doesn't quite work for me. The facial expression is too posed and it somewhat bastardizes the title.
