***** photographer comments *****

Early morning sun with some moisture on the plants from overnight rain.

Looked like a good time to try my new 8pt Starburst filter! ;^)

Probably get some feedback about the subject (complementary color item) being too small - oh well, I like it.

The water spots (or bubbles) are distracting and colors don't seem to match challenge details as complementary (blue/orange).

Beautiful use of depth of field. I think I would have cropped a bit tighter. Are those dew drops in the lower foreground?

The DOF looks forced, like it was blurred in photoshop or something. Pretty flower though!

Excellent photo, I like the use of the star filter as well. The light is perfect.

Have to admit, didn't really like this at all when I viewed it the first time. But as I returned and looked again, and again, the sparkle within the flower and reflection of light with the water drops keeps drawing me in. Interesting view for me..

3 - Very nice and unusual effects here, hoping all 'bokeh' and in camera and not something pp. Main thing though, in my opinion, is this is predominantly blue, green, then 'other' colors. Like to have seen (quality dependent) a much tighter crop, eliminating the green and 'showcasing' that flower with the yellow center - which may also have meant some hue adjustment in pp for this Challenge to get blue/orange or purple/yellow, who knows.

I like the subtle use of the star filter here. There's not much impact as far as complementary colors go, though.
