| you're really trying to rope this one into the challenge! :) I'll give you a 5 because it's a great shot, in spite of the fact that it doesn't fit the challenge and I don't like sports shots. |

| The cowboy is young, the horse is young, the calf is young... I definitely would not make the connection to anything about this photo being "old" without the title to tell me so, which makes its inclusion in this challenge a bit of a stretch. My score would be several points higher if it nailed the challenge. |

| It IS and old sport, but that seems to be "shoehorning" it into the challenge, quite honestly. Great action shot; I like a little more contrast, though. 7 |

WOW, this was my actual entry! LOL...Went to a rodeo last weekend. Unfortunately, it was at night and under a covered arena. Needless to say the bad lighting did not allow for a high shutter speed, and I lost my shots. I was so bummed!
Just for FYI, as I did this research for my own shot: The Rodeo began in Chyanne in 1872, as to an actual official contest, but started long before then as games the cowboys on the ranges used to play among themselves before it became an actual sport.
I am so glad to see this shot though. I'm rating it high. |
