Very nice. Well composed. Good choice of lens/aperture for good portrait DOF. Looks like the captain still has some lunch in his beard/mustache. ;^) Good luck in the challenge.

I don't usually like comments or give them, but since candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to comment on every photo in this challenge.

We all know that older men and women do well in such challenges. This is no exception. However, I would have liked to see this in a deep sepia tone and some HMS used in order to bring out the details more. Could have also used some USM if you hadn't used it. Needs to have what you are trying to portray enhanced. There is quite a bit of interest around the eyes. It's a good (6) photo as is.
