There are two parachuting clubs next to each other - they both jump off the top of Akaiwa Mountain but land in adjacent fields. When I eventually got there, there was only one jumper in there was only one jumper in the air at a time. The first time I went there, there were a whole bunch of guys floating around in the air, sharing the space with the eagles. Lucky guys.

Eh, I had to clone out s whole lot of sensor dust spots....

First, it's paragliding, not parachuting. :) My parents are rabid paragliders. Anyway, I do like the composition. Perhaps I would have given just a bit more space on the left, but that's a nitpick. I do like the cloud at the bottom providing a frame to the bottom. It seems like people appreciated the quality of the technicals (it's in focus, composition good, etc), but they either weren't wowed (there isn't enough going on) or they were unimpressed with how it met the challenge. I bet it's mainly the first reason.

I like the response to the challenge - definitely meets the definition and it's not the usual fare! Colors look good to me and about the only thing I can see that may have lowered the score is it seems just a tad unbalanced to me. He's got plenty of room to go forward but seems just a bit crowded on the left side of the picture - but with a long narrow subject like that, I'm not sure how to balance it better, either.

Hi, David, ONLY thing I see (and noticed it instantly) is the muted/faded/dirty looking colors in the parachute itself, sky is great, focus may be a TAD soft, but that is natural for this type of shot and does not bother me much at all. The colors do, hope this helps at least a little!!

Another great Paragliding shot. Were you up there with him/her? I love the look of jumping over the cloud.
