This is my good friend Jess

Down at the old whitby pshyc, they are destroying everything and there are guards everywhere so we had to sweet-talk a nice security guy to let us shoot things on even the outside of the buildings.

There's such a step in security lately because it's dangerous there, but most importantly because of all the stupid kids that run into the buildings to destroy them and spray paint shit on the wall.

Oh, I love this photo! Perfect placement of the mouse - kind of echoes the old psych hospital theme too... Nicely done, as usual.

poopoo what a silly score. the mouse completely makes this shot special. why is it that all the cool abandoned buildings seem to be old psych centers?

If the only thing to go by was your images one would think Canada is the oldest/grungest place on earth. :P

Fantastic image as usual.

I can't believe this finished 20th Joey. I had this as a certain top 3. I marked it 10, which I don't do that often. Well done on another stunning shot. I guessed it was one of yours...

This is a very good shot. However, I gave this a 6. I may come back to score higher but I'm not sure. There are many good texture shots in the challenge that truly show "genuine" texture of an "object". While this shot shows much "texture", the texture looks processed or "painted in". I know this is advanced editing and almost anything is fair game, but I'm not sure how to score this against the other shots in the challenge.

On a "free study" challenge I would give this a 10 or even 11 if that were possible. On the texture challenge I'll start with a 6 and come back later.

Good Luck,
