Greetings from the Critique Club!

Hi, Wágner. What a creepy shot! This definitely jumped out at me when I first saw it just now (i didn't vote or look through any of the 02 submissions last week), so it's totally got the wow-factor. The extreme tilt is something I'm rather a fan of and use myself fairly often, and it's very appropriate in this shot. I have absolutely no complaints about the composition (and I usually do find something to complain about), it's just that everything seems to work so well. Separately, it seems very off-balance, but since the whole shot is so slanted it all comes together in the end.

Despite such strong diagonals, which usually imply movement, there's a sense of heavy immobility, and even though the ground is at such an angle everything feels static and grounded.

The tones are perfect, the stark white of the pillars set off by the dark grey of the face and the black of the shadows under the roof, the little details in the carving standing out just right...

I really have nothing much else to say about it. It's just a very amazing and powerful shot to me, it takes a lot of the elements of photography that I love and puts it all together. Awesome shot :)

Everything in this image just comes together so well. Very interesting angle.

One of my top three. The border really works and I hate borders. Toning excellent. Tilt of background makes this shot - excellent choice. Absolutely beautiful.

I love how you turned the world on it's side to make the face level!

good idea to photograph this at an angle, really emphasises the art object.

very clever rotating the scene about the sculpture. very eye catching!

Good eye to shoot it as this angle, makes it very interesting to view.

Excellent perspective.

the tilt makes the shot

This is really interesting. You have made this your own work of art rather than merely documenting someone elses. Nice job!

I'm getting a bit dizzy, nice B&W though.

What a good image. Quite a different perspective. The B/W treatment of this shot is a good idea. I particularly like the contrast between the clean white columns (although a little burnt out IMO) nd the dark mask. Nice job.

Great take with the angle! Well done!

The perspective on this one is almost spooky. Well done in black and white.
