In the Backlighting II Challenge, Michelle Zappa, AKA zapgrafx, had an image titled "Synthetic". She explained what it was after the challenge and I decided to see what I would get at extreme close up. All it was, she said, was bubble wrap on top of Christmas tree lights with water sprayed on the bubble wrap. I did the same thing except folded the bubble wrap I had into three layers, placing the tree lights underneath. Initially, I could not get the one strand with the yellow lights on to light, but eventually it worked. Shot in standard mode with a 10x close up filter on the camera which was table top tripod mounted. Had about three turn out to my liking of which this was my favorite in camera and out.
Post: Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation.Lighten Shadows 10%, Darken Highlights, 10%, Contrast +10%. New Layer of Levels. Crop. Sharpen. Resize. Sharpen. |

| Very similar to another entry (subject matter and colours) but I like your compositional qualities far better although up the constrast would improve it a little. Well done though. |

| Really good idea for the shot. It's a little soft is some areas (top-right, esp.), which makes me think that a different crop might improve the image. |
