Wow! I really like this pic! Great idea & really creative! I totally dissagree that it would be better if the background was more in focus - people are obsessed with things being in focus on this site - why can't it be seen as art??

One of the things I really liked about the original was the lighting, the lighting on the ball and the ballplayer were very similar but in this shot they are not. Other than that, pretty good.

I'm distracted because the ball is lit from the left but the pitcher is lit from the right.

There is no shadow on the right side of the player .. so the dark right side of the ball does not produce a very convincing image IMHO .. nice idea though .. and got shot too ..
