Impressive macro... I'd have prefered to see the front of this insect though. The chains are great, but the rest of your background doesn't work so well. Shame that your shot didn't include all of his right wing. 8

nice texture contrast, clarity and detail on the beetle (?)...the nip on the right wing does not work for me nor does the upper half DOF

That's either one big @$$ bug, or you're real close :)
I like the angle and framing, even though the wing is clipped off. For some reason though, the front of the link in the chain keeps drawing my eye -- perhaps because this seems to be the main focus point. Still, a nice photo.

this picture gives me a feeling of de ja vu (I seem to have seen a picture of the same species of bug somewhere before O-o)
