Love this one. It shouts originality and emptiness... yes I feel a sense of emptiness. Yet somehow there seems to be hope... yes hope. Because within total darkness, one gets the feeling that the only way forward is through light. Light... yes... light... happiness and hope... Mmmmmmm....

You probably guessed that you would get some comments, but whether or not you get the brown is anyone's guess. Here's goes: might or might not be better with improved subject, arrangement, lighting, cropping, exposure, DOF, more bits for JPEG (you used only 56KB). :-)

I appreciate your sense of humour. :-) Though, this one has really few to do with (quality) photography. (2)

______!!!! Yesss I have another title for the pic, but it wasn't vice thing for me to write it. And that's my point. To woke your imagination, because my impresion is that you haven't got any kind of imagination. Maybe if you took this kind of picture for the competition few weeks ago titled "Afterlife" it may worked for you but now, nope not a chance. Btw you deserved "1"st price

Looks very similar to an entry in the afterlife challenge. I gave the last one a 10. Thus, to be consistent, I will give this a 10. Nice job!! :-)

I think the challenge states ... "Low key describes a mostly dark image, with few highlights" ... I see no highlights here ...

It may be a good title but it is a really bad image!

So, the challenge asked for an image that was a "mostly dark image, with few highlights". I imagine you're just being contrary, but I don't feel that the slight noise in your black here (which I don't see with my eyes, but the computer tells me it's there) really count. :-P

going for a browner or what?

03/22/2006 08:30:54 PM
It's just a black image, does not meet the challenge at all and is not very imaginative or creative and has no photographic merit, sorry.

Well, the good news is, I don't think you have any hot pixels. Oh, and I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geiko.

i don't see it...

Nice try... what makes a good low key image is its tonality on the shadow side of the histogram... unfortunately yours has no tonality whatsoever.
