A mulitcolor slinky shot in BW in a 2 second exposure. Lit with one clamp lamp with a 100w halogen bulb pointed up at a piece of white poster board over the shooting area.

Post: Layer adjustments for levels and brightness/contrast. Sharpen. Rotate 90° left. Crop. Clone some aberrations from in between on the sides of three of the spokes. Lots of hot pixels healed...fuji and low light, you gotta love it....got to get a DSLR...AHHHHH..I'm avoiding like the plagued but I can just about not stand it anymore....healed some more #($*)% hot pixels. Resize. Sharpen.

Hi! Here’s a comment from the Critique Club.

First Impression:
Nice shot! I like the way the lines lead my eyes to the “black hole”

Composition:
Really like the crop and the angle of your shot. B&W really works at highlighting the lines/curves.

Subject:
Given the forum traffic for this challenge, you met the challenge! (Thank you for a 2 second exposure!)

Technical:
I actually disagree with some of the comments below. I find the picture a bit grainy and the focus a little soft. Maybe it’s a monitor calibration issue. You mentioned sharpening twice. If you USM after resizing, you can make the picture a little more crisp.

Summary:
What were the chances of me drawing your picture again? I like the shot and your perspective. As mentioned below, the notion of time was not conveyed in you picture.

Another lens-cleaning slinky? I like this even though there is nothing about it that says long exposure.

I am concerned that there is nothing in the image that says this was a 2 second exposure. I could recreate this with a very quick shutter speed and produce an identical image.
I am sure that you had a 2 second exposure, and there is now doubt that this is a strong composition as a photograph is highly appealing to me.

while it is a nice shot as an abstract, I am not sure it conveys the 2 second idea very well
