Camera: Sony DSC-S75

The true fear in this picture comes from my daughter not liking to be photographed.

I bribed her and my son to do help me do this shot.

Done on the stairway landing in the foyer of our home.

I have purposely left the lighting levels a little dark because it adds to the feel of this dark emotion.

It wasn't too cliche. I'm trying to figure out how you might spice it up a little bit. First, I think I'd try to shoot somewhere or move your light source so that the only shadow on the wall is the kinfe and hand -- especially since they were apparently different distances from the light and one is darker than the other. Initially the girls pose seemed very real, but the longer I looked at it, the more it seemed like she's just sitting there -- it has something to do with the hand (it looks like it's just kind of draped over her head). Still, nice work.

At least your cliche was well-executed. Very nice framing and clean, sharp shadows.

Good use of shadow. I also like the way it is composed and shot. One minor nit-picky thing, her body looks relaxed. Unfourtunately, I have no idea how to tell you to correct that, it was just an observation.
