Good job on metering this one. It is hard to have good contrast, not loose all shadow detail, and keep the highlights from blowing out. Is this prom night or just attitude?

great use of b/w and intriguing portrait but to be honest, it doesn't convey any "education" feel to me

Without your title I don't view this image as having anything to do with "education". Nice looking fellow all spiffied up - and his expression makes it appear as he is a typical teen posing for yet another photo. Nice use of B&W and lighting, nice crop and overall composition. I like his pose or body language with the hands held and head tilted and the stairs with railing - overall a really nice image - good job :)

Very nice portrait! Good composition, exposure and focus. But without the title there's nothing about the picture that says "education" to me.
