This is my first challenge entry. I came up with the idea and my Dad helped me pull it off (he's the dead guy). I got the idea to make someone a ghost by seeing other pics here on DPC and I wanted to try it.

We set up the camera and a couple of lamps with the switches near each other. It took a while to get the lighting just right. I had to use my Dad's D70 because my Sony F707 wouldn't let me do a long exposure. I set the camera for a 10 second exposure, the timer for 5 seconds to give me time to get to the light switches, and played around with different aperatures. I pressed the shutter, turned the lights off, the shutter opened, turned the lights on and off really quick, my dad sat down, turned the lights on and off really quick again, and waited for the shutter to close. We did this 40 times and picked the best one. I hope you like it.

Your great comment's give me the idea to experiment with your technique in my classroom this month. Thanks for the description and we will send you a photo if we are successful. I found your photo by reading a note Langdon made about a fox photo that led me to your relatives alligator who noted your profile as his favorite.

Good artistic representation, yet over saturated to the point where it distracts.

You nailed the challenge - 2 extra points for humour, otherwise minus 2 points for tasteless interior ;-)
