//www.dpchallenge.com/portfolio_edit.php?IMAGE_ID=214000 The above link has an image of a puzzle drawn on glass. What is black will catch information and what is transparant will be blown away by the backlight. A double exposure of the glass and the face will then yield this result.

The same principle was employed here. You place sky on wall and you trim only the chin area. The rest of the image remains intact(a regular 8.5 x 11 photo paper. You then measure distance from camera to wall and then swivel camera (90 degrees) to where you are going to sit. The two distance should be the same. You then use bulbs to illuminate the sky print with glasses on it. Then you swivel camera pick up lyre, and put head on chin rest and shoot the backlight flashes.

This backlight will now subtract the excess part of the print that reaches past the head and shaves it this close.

Notice that there is no trace of the rectangular shape print.

This was a fave of mine for this challenge. I like how it achieves a look one could first think was outside the basic rules, yet is not. Very nicely done.

Sky face. Now that could be a new take on 'after'. Glad you had the hand holding the item for the destination. The bw is good. The ear does not work.
