 I was out taking some stock photos at the playground while my kids flew around on their Razor scooters. I liked the way this one turned out, so I simply re-cropped for square, and here you go. I rotated it 180 degrees, because the wind was blowing it to the left. Enjoy!

I have no problem with patriotism, but to be honest - this is a pretty uninspiring image... the sky is kinda flat and there's nothing interesting about the composition.

Really - a 4.7 is about what one could have expected a shot like this to get - irrespective of which nation the flag represents.

I think a tigher crop would have done better. The American Flag shots always get beat up here at DPC. But I say screw 'em wave it proudly my fellow American.

What's there to like about this picture, other than its proper exposure and focus? I'm sorry to say this, but it's just not interesting in any way: no unusual perspective, no interesting composition, no particularly good colours/shapes/textures, no plot or story behind it.

I don't understand what moved you to send this in for a challenge.

I don't mind the subject (and I'm American), but just want to see more of the flag instead of it so limp.

As one of the many non-U.S participants on this site I don't find this shot interesting at all. Hopefully for you, your country men and women will not vote as harshly as me. -3-
