This has kind of a weird off sense with the floating whatever-they-are and the shadows. Her face is clear and the lighting is good. Has an edginess to it.

I like this very much. It is an excellent portrait of an artist among her sculptures. There are some problems with the placement of the sculptures. Two of them seem to be growing out of the artist's head and the third is cut off in the middle.

You know what would have been really great. If you would have posed her like the statues in the back. I am not sure how you would have suspended her, but it would have made quite a statement.

The title is a bit distracting (an artist?) any way; I love the unassuming quality of the artist in front of her sculpture? or is it the photographer? SHe's in balck, shes beautiful but not made up in anyway, she seems more concerned with her art than herself and through that, there is an expression of layers of art here. very nice.

Technicaly pretty assured, though i would have the flash far softer a light than this - its produced heavy strange shadows, and some glare on her forehead and around the eye: I'm not asking for over the top airbrush flattery, but just a smoother, more realistic light. Love the situation though, neatly seen and shot.
