Challenge: Square Crop (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Pentax *ist DS
Lens: Pentax FA 50mm f/1.4 AF
Location: Local Aquarium
Date: Mar 1, 2006
Aperture: f2.5

I like this pic but not sure if the square crop works. Taken at the local aquarium through a wet and dirty sheet of glass. Big bump in contrast and some neatimage lovin, bit of dodging, some more neatimage lovin. A good dose of sharpening to finish it off.

Good use of negative space, good contrast and nice colors. The only thing that "bugs" me is that part of the plant is a fake. :) 8

Wonderful shot. Love the soft dark green background with the bright green subject. Great texture.

Wonderful! Froggy stands out beautifully against the background, and the angle works quite well.

This is a wonderful green shot - but it looks like he's on artificial leaves (not that there's anything wrong with that). You should do well, Cindi.

Love this - strong sense of composition, and all the technical stuff in place. The fade to black is well done, also.

I like this, but it doesn't look very focused. There's also a slight blur above the right eye which distracts. Good use of thirds which is harder to do in a square crop.

Oh my gosh. This is just perfect. Helps that I have a thing for reptiles, but the negative space is just right, the color exquisite, and the eyes - oh those eyes!

Wonderful capture and colour, but not sure it works best in a square crop.

Clever. I love the overal green tones. Nice off center placement of the frog. I can't decide if he is slightly out of focus, or it is just the shine on his skin that is an optical illusion. Well, nonetheless, I gave it an 8
