Nicely done. The shadow is a bit harsh, though.

Major focus problems going on here. For creatures, I sometimes find that they settle down and hold still after youve been there a few minutes. Then you can use a longer exposure and either increase focal depth or use natural light to eliminate glare.

yes, aquarium glass is transparent. maybe if this was lit from the top, and if the lighting was softer, this would be more interesting?

Yes, this is through a transparent object (glass), but in my interpretation of this challenge, the transparency object enhanses/blocks/changes the subject behind it. This is a very nice photo of a guppy. Photo 8 Transparency 4 total 6 swash

wow, i know acquarium shots are difficult. good for you for taking this on. i wish the fish was just a little sharper and didn't have the hot spot (from flash?) on it. -- gr8photos (4)

it's truly transparent, yes. I guess we see that absolutely transparent doesn't really add anything to a scene.

Just slightly out of focus.

Nice use of tail.

I know this was shot through the glass of the fish tank... which *is* transparent.. so the challenge has been met... there is also some transparency in the fins and tail of the fish, but overall, I would like to see stronger interpretations... = 4 - jmsetzler
