Not sure how this will be received most will assume suff from the 1980's but as I was at the V&A over the weekend i thought I would go a differant route and go for 100 years earlier.
As I was inside I had to use a higher iso and it has turned out a bit grainy.

Photo is very grainy and dark, better lighting would help but I am assuming you took this in a museum. I'd also say most people are equating this challenge with 1980, not 1880.
Its an interesting take on the challenge, and the subject itself has a certain interest and grace. Unfortunately I think the image suffers from a lack of adequate lighting and poor composition. It appears it may be part of a museum display which if that's the case, its easy to understand how lighting and what not couldn't be adjusted. The focus is pretty good but the lighting flattens everything and the great shadows/lines of the subject are lost. Also the edge on the left and the piece of material in the background do not add to the image so instead they end up taking away from it. I don't have any suggestions on how to make it better if you were to reshoot I'm afraid, since it does look like it was part of a display. Tough capture! I gave a 3
Fair enough it is shot at ISO800@1/20 but it doesn't make it a great picture. It is too blurred and tenuous for the challenge. I'm amazed that people actually wore those things though! Thanks for sharing
Well, What I like about this is just the fact that you stretched the rules the way you did. The photo though, I'm not so sure of. Perhaps you were going for some rustic image, I don't know.
I do not understand why you put the iso and shutterspeed with the title? Also, why the strange settings, your subject isn´t going anywhere. The shot looks underexposed so I would rather reccomend you used settings such as iso 100 and about 1 second, don´t tell me that it´s because you didn´t bring a tripod, that´s no excuse.
