Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Cubix :)
If you request a critique from the critique club, you should always fill out your 'Photographer's Comments' field when you submit your photo. When you don't include your own thoughts on the image, you can't really expect someone else to give their time and effort to give you a critique. It makes me think that you don't care enough about your own photo to take the time to post your thoughts on it...
The first critique I have for this image is your depth of field. I can't see any particular reason why everything in this image should not be in focus. Shallow depth of field is generally used to either isolate a subject or to draw attention to some particular area of an image. In this image, the entire field of view is the subject. There is no added effect created by the shallow depth of field.
I think this is a good subject for black and white photography simply because the subject is already lacking in color. I also think it was a bold move to shoot this scene straight and level as you have here. I actually think it has a nice balance and works out well in this composition. |

I feel this would be a better photo is the keys were diagonal so that the eye would have an entry point. |

I wish there weren't reflections on the white keys (those about a centimeter below the black keys). |

Nice comp. I like the lines. It looks like the left side of the frame is a little droopy right at the edge. I think it is a lens distortion issue that you probaby can't correct with the basic rule set. I like the simplicity of the image. |
