Excellent choice. I still remember these from when I was younger. Great execution as well.

This was an excellent shot. Very clear and well thought out. Lighting on whole frame.

the Viewmaster is still around? Wow.
this is almost too good to be true. very impressive. i'd love to see a how-to on the lighting setup that gave you that great backlighting/frontlighting combo.

I remember these things from the 50s. Didn't know they still made them:) Nicely done. Paul.

This is an interesting, different approach to this challenge. Credit for creative thinking. Shot well taken. Now for the bad stuff. This could easily be considered using someone else's materiel as your subject (against site rules), but on the plus side, you "give credit" to the Discovery Channel, so this might be acceptable. Next, as a "creative" approach, it's great, but my personal guidelines for this challenge cannot accept this as the challenge intent (IMO).

After much thought, I am going to give you a 5 and not recommend for DQ. Remember, this is just one idiot's thoughts. Don't let it get to you. Swash

Cool shot, it is well exposed, well composed, and has good color, focus, and DOF. One suggestion (maybe you tried this and it didn't look good?) is to add a third disc in the middle to set up a series of repeating elements. Very nice work on this photo.

i like your placement of the two wheels, the oof second one gives a definite feeling of depth to the photo. was the gorilla shot that dark, or is the photo a little dark? can't tell. -- gr8photos (5)

very nice :) I love the framing and composition on this shot... I also think that a tad more white balance would be nice as well... good work! = 8 - jmsetzler
