This is a tongue in cheek tribute to the Spencer Ravell photograph L'Enfant.

I wondered whether to add the tribute bit to the title or keep it subtle. I decided that I shouldn't make it too obvious .......I just hope folks realise I am taking the p***

Tattoo was drawn on a piece of A4 and photographed within the time constraints of the chalenge and it took about 3 times as long to get right as the photograph.

Much fun

Steve

An image that should have finished much higher on its nice humor and excellent execution. Congratulations on your top 20 finish.

i thought this was robbie williams from the thumb nail!!!!!

i really like the black and white and the emotion shown.
the subject matter is maybe not quite right (although it is perfect for the challenge)
but if it had said "dad" on his arm and he was looking at an old photograph of his "dad", then it would have hit a sentimental vote too.
that's what I think anyway.

My first reaction to this was that it was too "gimmicky" but I've changed my mind. I think it is a very creative take on the assignment.

Is that your new 100mm macro? Can't quite make it out.

Tattoo's a nice touch. If a little dark on this pishy monitor.

I like the high key feel to it, although I find the blemish on the wall up right a little distracting.

Nice composition, good exposure. Wonder whether it would look nice with a strong sepia tint? Nice self portrait too.

Hope you do well.

I like your photo. Good composition, lighting and tones. One question...is that truly a DPC tattoo or was it photoshopped in? 10

Very funny, the tatoo needs to be lit a little more, some people may not be able to see what it says. good luck.

:( makes me want to pat you on the shoulder and say its ok and something about good things coming for those who wait.... But anywho this is a well set up shot, good lighting, nice touch with the tattoo, and I can feel your emotion which is my requirement for a 10. So here is to a DPC addiction!

Clever!! This is great. I wish the "tattoo" wee not quite so shadowed. Really an imaginative idea though. Great clarity too.
